Last year I decided I needed to dress more girly. Not that I don’t dress girly now…it’s just… I wanted to be more girly. Or something. You see, I go through these spurts where I decide I’m going to be this way or that way, and of course these ideas usually never last, but I try anyhow.
So back to the subject at hand… I decided I was going to be more girly and work towards having a closet full of cute, funky shoes (not a bad goal if you ask me).
Enter subjects below.
Yes, these are cute. And they’re funky enough. But, boy do these suckers hurt! When I tried them on I thought, “oh, these aren’t too bad…besides, it’s not like I’ll wear them shopping. I’ll just wear them to get-togethers with friends and plan on sitting for most of the night. I can handle them for short distances….” Ha! I wore them today and let me tell you – they were built for looks and not much else! My feet were screaming.
Heh, the things we do in the name of being cute. *insert eye roll here* I do have some great ankles though, right?
Mother’s Day is almost here! If you’re tired of the giving the same ‘ol gifts that lack a genuine and heart-felt “thank you for all you’ve done for me, mom” feeling, then consider getting her something she’ll cherish for YEARS… artistic and beautiful family portraits.
So, in the spirit of giving and honoring of wonderful, loving mothers everywhere, if you schedule a family session by Mother’s Day, you will receive 25% off your session fee!
So if you’d rather avoid the chaos involved with the do-it-yourselfers (hint: watch the funny video below), or the boring and stiff chain store studios snapshots, then schedule with me for a fun and relaxing photo session. =]
Sometimes I wonder if I’m a cowgirl at heart because I just love living in the country. And ok, so maybe I’m not a real cowgirl, but I never thought I’d return to rural living after I grew up; yet here I am loving the clean air and quiet peacefulness that comes with living in the boonies. LOL.
Here’s an example of one thing I love about living in the country. When I run out of eggs I send my daughter over to the next door neighbors who have chickens and for a mere $0.75 I get fresh, organic eggs. Mmmmm.
But you can’t imagine my delight when I opened the container to see these beautiful brown speckled and pale green wonders. Are they so pretty?!
They remind me of something you’d see in a Martha Stewart magazine.
Hi there! Welcome to the blog. My name is Shay Harames and I'm a natural light photographer serving the Watach front in Utah. I live in the country with my family (which is my best friend Mike and one beautiful daughter). Make yourself comfy, have a look around, and don't forget to leave me a note in the comments! :)
